Nigeria 4 Vs Argentina 2: Buhari congratulates Super Eagles on friendly win

Buhari via his Twitter account congratulated the Super Eagles on their brilliant win.

President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Super Eagles on their 4-2 win over Argentina in a friendly game.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria came back from 2-0 down to get a thrilling win over Argentina on Tuesday, November 14 at the Stadion FK in Krasnodar, Russia.

 

“Congratulations to our soaring Super Eagles, and to all Nigerians, on tonight's victory against Argentina,” Buhari said via his Twitter account.

 

Argentina raced into the lead in the 25th minute through Ever Banega who scored from a free-kick.

Sergio Aguero doubled the lead 10 minutes later before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for the Super Eagles with a free-kick late in the first half.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria kicked off the second-half the better side and equalised through Alex Iwobi.

Super Eagles debutant Bryan Idowu put Nigeria in the lead before Iwobi rounded up the win with a fantastic solo goal.
