Big Brother Naija alumnus Kate Jones, popularly known as Ka3na, has laid her late husband Keith Jones to rest by spreading his ashes in the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy.
The reality TV star posted a video on her Instagram page showing her and her three-year-old daughter Lila on a gondola, spreading her husband's ashes in the canal, as the the gondolier slowly rowed through the water. Ka3na, dressed in a long black tube gown, and her daughter smiled as they released what was left of their loved one, focusing on fond memories.
Her caption read, "I and my beautiful daughter released the ashes of a beloved husband and a great father. Setting his spirit free to soar among the heavens. As the wind carries his essence and the timeless waters of the Grand Canal witness the journey of a cherished soul…may it touch the hearts of all who knew him, forever reminding us of his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Though our tears may fall, his memory will forever shine as a guiding light, illuminating our path with strength, resilience, and the enduring power of love. Rest peacefully, dear husband and best knowing that your legacy lives on eternally within our hearts."
Her husband died at the beginning of May 2023 after losing the well-fought battle with cancer, making him the first person she ever lost. When she announced that he passed away on May 28, 2023, after his burial, she noted that it took her 3 days to fully process the fact that he had passed away. However in August 2023, after months of mourning, she returned to social media with a somewhat controversial post letting everyone know that she may be widowed but she is not withered.
