Big Brother Naija Alumnus Maria Chike Benjamin announced the birth, gender, and name of her newborn child, then deleted it almost immediately.
The star revealed the details on her verified Twitter account yesterday, July 17, 2023, around 8 p.m., before deleting it shortly after. Her tweet read, "Johnathan-Anthony Adegbotolu, 17/07/2023, 02:57 am. We love you already."
Even though she was quick to delete the tweet, she wasn't quick enough, as tweebs had already caught wind of the post. Soon after, congratulations started to flood in for the new mother and her partner, Kelvin Anene.
Maria started trending on the microblogging app because of her announcement and also because she deleted her post, leaving many wondering why.
On June 23, 2023, she announced her pregnancy in an adorable way, stating how she couldn't wait to meet the little tot.
Following that, on July 6, 2023, the BBN star took to Instagram to post her stunning maternity shoot photos. She blessed her one million Instagram followers with the post captioned 'amore', which left many fans fawning.
Maria Chike is a reality TV star, former air hostess, media personality, and model. She gained recognition as a member of the sixth season of Big Brother Naija in 2021. After leaving the show, she disclosed that she faced some spiritual challenges, which she was able to overcome.
She also started a successful talk show called Healing with Maria, with the first episode airing in 2023. The wellness show has starred many popular names like Kate Henshaw, Broda Shaggi, Deyemi, Bam Bam, and other people of influence.
Prior to her fame, she worked as an air hostess at one of the most prestigious airlines in the world, Emirates, where she worked for five years.
