#ManCrushMonday: Falz, the talented, humorous rapper

The release of Falz's "27" album was a big surprise to most. The project packed correctional messages that will serve most useful to the youths.

Falz with his unique style of music makes our man crush for this Monday.

We know Mondays are usually very serious so we bring to you the rapper with a huge sense of humour as our man crush, yes it's the one and only Falz.

Folarin Falana better known as Falz on stage was born on October 27, 1990, in Lagos state to the renowned lawyer and activist, Femi Falana. He attended St. Leo’s Catholic Primary School, Ikeja and Olashore International School, in Osun state where he had his primary and secondary school education.

Falz then proceeded to The University of Reading in the United Kingdom where he graduated with an LLB honours degree in Law. Music for Falz started way back while in secondary school after forming a group called "The School Boys" with his friend before his professional career as a music artiste began in 2009.

 

He shot into the Limelight after the release of the single 'Marry Me' featuring Yemi Alade and LadiPoe, which won him a nomination in the "Best Collaboration of The Year" category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He was also nominated for the "Best Rap Act of The Year" and "Best New Act to Watch" categories at the same event.

 

In 2016, Falz won "Best Actor in a Comedy Movie/Series" at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for his role as Segun in Funke Akindele’s TV series Jenifa's Diary. In June of 2016, Falz was voted the winner of the "Viewer's Choice Best New International Act" category at the 2016 BET Awards. In 2017, Falz pulled a Beyonce move on everyone when he released his album '27' which is seen as a back to back hit songs album.
