Victor Moses, Leon Balogun: Super Eagles stars included in CAF’s best XI from World Cup qualifiers
Moses and Balogun played four games from five qualifying games for the Super Eagles.
Super Eagles stars Victor Moses and Leon Balogun have been included in the best XI of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
Nigeria were the first African country to qualify for the 2018 World Cup with Moses and Balogun as crucial players in the Super Eagles squad.
They both played four games from five in the Super Eagles' 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

CAF released their best XI of the qualifying campaign with one game remaining in the series.,
In goal is Ugandan goalkeeper Denis Onyango while Serge Aurier of Cote d'Ivoire, Balogun, Ahmed Hegazi of Egypt and Tunisian defender Ali Maaloul are the defenders.
In midfield are Mbark Boussoufa of Morocco, Youssef Msakni from Tunisia, Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Moses.
Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Khalid Boutaïb of Morocco are in attack.

Moses played in four games of the qualifying campaign for Nigeria scoring three goals.
He missed out from the Super Eagles first game of the qualifiers against Zambia which Nigeria won 2-1 but return to put in a Man of the Match performance in the home 3-1 win over Algeria.
In that crucial game, the Chelsea star scored twice to put Nigeria on the path to the Russia 2018.
In Super Eagles third game, Moses was impressive again and scored his third goal of the campaign in a 4-0 win over Cameroon.
Although he was quiet in Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Zambia in October, he still showed flashes of his brilliance and started the move that led to the Super Eagles goal that sealed their qualification.
He is out of the squad for the game against Algeria which is the last of the qualifying series.
Leon Balogun

Balogun has become a regular figure at the heart of the Super Eagles defence and played in four of Nigeria’s games of the qualifying series.
Along with William Troost-Ekong in Super Eagles defence, Balogun led Nigeria to two clean sheets and just conceded two goals in four games. He was not involved when Nigeria conceded one goal in the 2-1 win away Zambia.
