Maradona believes he can do better than Sampaoli after Argentina's loss to Nigeria.

Argentina legend, Diego Maradona is furious with La Albiceleste’s 2-4 loss to the Super Eagles of Nigeria and wants to replace Coach Jorge Sampaoli.

Argentina on Tuesday, November 14 surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 2-4 to Nigeria in a friendly game played in Krasnodar, Russia.

Ever Banega and Sergio Aguero gave Argentina a two-goal lead but a late first-half goal by Kelechi Iheanacho just before the break kicked off Nigeria’s comeback.

Alex Iwobi netted twice in the second half along with Bryan Idowu’s goal to complete the turnaround.

After the game, Maradona who has played and managed the Argentine national team believes he can do a better job than Sampaoli.

The 1986 FIFA World Cup winner took to his Instagram to share an image of a comparative table of past Argentine managers and their winning percent rate.

 

During Maradona’s stint as coach of Argentina, he achieved 75 percent efficiency with 18 wins and six losses.

Information from that image shows that the 57-year-old has the highest efficiency among all Argentina managers since the 1970s.

Who wins more ?? Let’s draw our conclusions, I’m mad because they give away our prestige, but the players are not the ones to blame, I WANT TO RETURN !!!,”  the football legend wrote on his Instagram.

Maradona faced Nigeria twice, one as a player and the other as coach of Argentina.

He played in Argentina’s 2-1 win over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the group stage of the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

At the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, he was the manager when Argentina beat Nigeria 1-0.
