Echiejile is out of the Super Eagles squad because of an injury.
Injured Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile has sent a goodwill message to his teammates ahead of their games against Algeria and Argentina.
Echiejile has been out since he got injured in the 1-0 win over Zambia in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in October.
It was the win in that game that sealed Super Eagles qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
“It’s really sad that I won’t be part of the squad for the coming fixtures due to the injury I sustained in the last game, but my recovery process is going well and I hope to return in a very short time,” Echiejile said in a chat with Brila.
With the Super Eagles of Nigeria already through to the World Cup, Echiejile is confident that the fringe players will show their talents in the game against Algeria.
