These are five things you should know about the former Nigerian basketballer that died in the United States.
A former Nigerian basketballer Daniel Omokhoje Daudu has died in the United States from a car crash that happened on Friday, October 27.
Daudu was struck by a large part of a semi tractor-trailer which broke off the rear from the heavy duty trailer.
He was found seriously injured and unconscious before he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation on Sunday, October 29 released a statement to pay tribute to the 28-year-old.
These are five things you should know about him
1. Daudu played for Lagos based Dodan Warriors before he moved to the United States.
2. The late Daudu represented Nigeria at the 2007 World U-20 Basketball Championships in Serbia.
3. Dauda travelled to the United States where he played for the University of Indianapolis. The University released a statement after his death to also pay tribute to him.
4. Daudu has a degree in Marketing which he got from the University of Indianapolis. He graduated in 2015.
5. He was working as a marketer for an industrial distribution company before his death.
