'LIVERPOOL TO SIGN BENTEKE'

Liverpool are set to sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke "if not today then in the very near future", according to talkSPORT. 

Benteke has a £32.5million release clause at Villa, where he has been for three seasons, and Sky sources reported over a week ago that he will not extend his current deal, which runs until 2017.
