FG Promises 84 Rural Healthcare Centres In Nigeria


The Federal Government has announced plans to provide community based Social Health Insurance Programme in 84 locations around the country before the end of the year as part of efforts to ensure an effective healthcare delivery system.
Speaking in Abuja at the official presentation of the community based social health insurance programme in Lugbe Area of the nation’s capital, the Acting Executive Secretary of the scheme, Mr Femi Thomas pledged that the federal government is committed to providing easy access to healthcare services for rural communities.
He said the presidential mandate to ensure universal health coverage for all Nigerians by the year 2025 is still on course.
